Set in the dangerous world of buccaneers, the two part drama to be broadcast on Sky 1 HD on new years day and 2nd Januray 2012, will take viewers on a high octane adventure following the story of Jim Hawkins as he discovers Flint’s treasure map.

Phillip plays Captain Alexander Smollett alongside Eddie Izzard’s Long John Silver. Holywood actor Elijah Wood (Lord of the Rings, Sin City) joins the cast as Ben Gunn. Rupert Penry-Jones (Spooks, Whitechapel) takes on the role of Squire Trelawney and Daniel Mays (Made in Dagenham, Plus One, Red Riding) is Dr Livesey – who all lead the voyage with Jim aboard The Hispaniola.

David Harewood (Strike Back, Mrs Mandela, Blood Diamond) and Keith Allen (Robin Hood, Bodies) take on the role of the pirates, Bones and Pew respectively who lead Jim into the murky world of piracy and seeking Flint’s hidden treasure.

Newcomer Toby Regbo, who is set to appear in the final Harry Potter film as Young Dumbledore, takes on the role of Jim Hawkins as a gutsy, eager and courageous young lad who finds himself battling with Silver (Eddie Izzard) for the treasure and his life. Shirley Henderson (Harry Potter, Bridget Jones) plays his mother and Nina Sosanya (Love Actually) will be Silver’s wife.

Filming took place in Dublin and Cork in Ireland and in Puerto Rico in the north east Caribbean.
