Outcast, Cinemax 10 part drama series
Filming begins this summer for the new US TV exorcism drama ‘Outcast’, the dramatic adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s (The Walking Dead) and artist Paul Azaceta’s comic series of the same name which hit shelves in the US last summer.
The 10-episode drama will be produced for premium cable and satellite television network Cinemax.
Filming will largely take place on the borders of N and S Carolina in America.
The drama centers around Kyle Barnes (played by ‘Almost Famous’ and ‘Gone Girl’ star Patrick Fugit), a young man plagued by possession since childhood. Kyle sets out to find answers, in the process uncovering something that could end all life on Earth as we know it. Philip plays the hard-drinking, hard-gambling Reverend Anderson, a West Virginian evangelical preacher who believes himself a soldier in God’s holy war against evil.
Additionally, ‘Annabelle’ star Gabriel Bateman will play 8-year-old Joshua Austin, a young boy who appears to be possessed by a demon and has a mysterious connection to Kyle.
